About us

The Healthy Mouth Academy was created and is managed by Dr. Camesia O. Matthews, DDS, a Massachusetts-based general dentist, certified sports dentist, and entrepreneur.

Dr. Matthews is the founder of Clutch Dental Media, an oral health education brand, which includes the Healthy Mouth Restoration Coaching Program, The Healthy Mouth Academy, and the Clutch Dental blog. She is a former clinical microbiologist and adjunct science professor and is a graduate of the Howard University College of Dentistry and George Washington University.

Dr. Matthews is a member of the National Dental Association, the Academy for Sports Dentistry, and the American Academy for Oral and Systemic Health. She has been featured twice by Boston’s TV News Leader WCVB and by Top Doctor magazine.
